Siskins

Today there was another finch explosion in the yard. While not as many as we had earlier in winter its still impressive. There's about 140 Goldfinches, 50 Pine Siskins and 4 Common Redpolls. The highlight today was a single Green Morph Siskin, not the most striking individual but distinctly more yellow than the regular siskins. Theres been numerous reports this winter of Green Morphs so I was hoping one would show up.

Thank you for posting such great photos! As a beginner birder along the Texas coast, it's hard to tell the differences between some of the smaller birds. This will help so much.
